Plan your visit

To see everything, we suggest viewing our garden in the sequence set out on the illustrated map in our guidebooks, available upon entry.

There are many alternative choices, and you may find yourself drawn off course to explore through an archway here or a doorway there, the element of surprise ever beckoning.
However you choose to view the garden, we do hope that you enjoy your visit. Please find some useful information below for planning your visit.

Facilities and Accessibility

Onsite Parking

We offer a large, attractive car park for free onsite visitor parking.

Toilets

Toilets are located close to the entry kiosk at the gardens.

Wheelchair Access

The garden is partially accessible to wheelchairs although some paths are gravel and others are woodchip making them difficult for wheelchairs with small wheels whether battery operated or manually pushed. There are some steps where it is impossible to provide ramps and whilst we should not wish to discourage wheelchair users, we feel the need to fully explain the limitations of this garden. Should you decide to visit we wish you the best of times for although some areas are difficult, there are many more that are easily accessed and enjoyable.

Coach Parking

We are able to accommodate coach trips, offering designated parking for larger vehicles.

Tea Rooms

We have a tea room with two separate indoor spaces, as well as outdoor seating. We offer teas, coffee, savouries and cakes from 12-5pm.

Plant Sales

We propagate many of the plants on display at the gardens and provide many for purchasing at our plant sale area.
